On 1 December 2005, CAN hosted the Telematics Congress 2005 entitled "Nuremberg Metropolitan Region – Setting the pace for intelligent mobility". Media representatives and more than 120 participants from all over Germany came to find out about the latest technology, applications of efficient transport telematics, trends and developments and the implementation of traffic guidance projects. The Bavarian government reported on policy guidelines and strategies in the transport sector.
