CNA e.V. was founded in 1996 as a think tank for transport and logistics and covers a wide range of industries and technology topics. With the participation of representatives from industrial and transport companies, science and politics, we initiate innovation projects and professional events. Railway Technology

CNA e.V. is managing the Bavarian cluster platform for railway technology since 2006. By bundling competences, the innovation process in the field of railway technology in Bavaria is stimulated and accelerated.

In Bavaria, railroad technology has a special significance. Due to the concentration of the largest German suppliers of rail transport, rail technology in Bavaria is an outstanding economic factor. With a top ranking in freight transport performance, the largest transport network in Germany and a high priority on environmental protection, Bavaria is dependent on the use of modern, environmentally friendly rail technology.

Logistics

The European Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg is a conurbation with a strong shipping economy and a logistics node of European standing. In addition to numerous SME logistics service providers, various research institutions with great innovation potential can also be found here. Since 2014, CNA e.V. is coordinating the Logistics Initiative Bavaria on behalf of the Bavarian Ministry of Transport as an innovation platform and umbrella brand for logistics in Bavaria.

Here, CNA e.V. connects all players and technology suppliers along the supply chain to shape transport logistics for future. With the help of digitalization, the strengthening of sustainable modes of transport - also on the last mile - the transport of goods shall thus be made more efficient, environmentally friendly and socially acceptable.

Mobility

In order to implement the climate targets, new forms of mobility are particularly necessary. In addition to alternative drives, conventional transport telematics, intelligent linking of the various modes of transport is a major challenge, but also a key to achieving the targets set.
